Yemeni government announces the province of "Mahra " disaster City

The head of the Yemeni government, on Monday, declared the province of al-Mahra, the eastern city, a disaster town, after being hit by a hurricane "Luban".

The head of government, Ahmed Obaid bin Dagher, called on relief organizations operating in Yemen to rescue the children of al-Mahra province after being hit by a hurricane (Luban) and exposing citizens ' homes to heavy losses.

Ben Dagher, on his Facebook page, said, "Al-Mahra” governorate is a disaster city and must be aided and its people as soon as possible."

In his contact with Al-Mahra Governor Rajeh Bakrit, Ben Dagher said he was directed to increase vigilance and preparedness and redouble efforts to rescue people trapped by flood and finding safe spaces for affected families.

                                                                                                              

A hurricane struck the coast of al-Mahra, near the Sultanate of Oman, with floods and rains besieging the population in most areas, especially the Messilah area.
