The House of Representatives continues its sessions and Basurrah  asks the Minister of Interior why the disbursement of passports and ID cards is stopped


The House of Representatives continues its sessions in Seiyun city, capital of the Hadramawt Valley (east of Yemen) for the second consecutive day after they heard the statement of the budget presented by the Prime Minister yesterday's.

At a meeting held under the chairmanship of Sheikh Sultan Al-Barakani, Chairman of the Council, Mohsen Basurrah, Deputy speaker of the Council for Technical and Organizational affairs, asked the Minister of Interior Ahmed al-Maysari about the reasons for stopping the disbursement of passports in the Department of Immigration and Passports in the liberated areas except for cases of sickness.

The MP called on the minister to answer his questions in writing.

He also questioned the reasons for the interruption of identity cards for Yemeni citizens of legal age in the personal status Authorities of the liberated governorates.

He called on the Minister of Interior to answer the reasons for receiving the amount (thousand Yemeni riyals) for every passenger to Saudi Arabia and 10 Saudi riyals on the traveller to the Yemeni territory through the Immigration and Passports office at the border checkpoint in Al-Wade’ah outlet in Hadramawt governorate without giving official receipt for the amount received.

The disbursement of passports in liberated areas months ago was interrupted only for sick cases without a clarifications by the Ministry of the Interior for reasons which  caused serious suffering to citizens.
