Mothers of Abductees in Ibb: 563 of the kidnapped families subjected to financial blackmail


The Association of Mothers of Abductees in Ibb the central province carried out a protest on Thursday to demand the release of all their abducted and forcibly hidden children from Houthi militia prisons.

They denounced  the ongoing abductions of their children had continued for more than four years and subjected them to severe torture in prisons.

The signs, which were carried by the mothers of the abductees, their children and their families, expressed pain and sorrow of the absence of their relatives behind bars, appealing to human rights and humanitarian organizations to intervene and contribute to end the suffering of the abductees in the Houthi prisons.

The protest statement said that the al-Houthi group was abducting thousands of citizens whose suffering extended to their families.

It confirmed that 563 cases of financial blackmail had been reported, while the families of 189 abductees were displaced after being exiled from their homes and businesses in exchange for Houthi fighters with their families, and suffered from physical abuse , kidnapping and looting of their property, and took them hostage, the statement said.
