Death of kidnapped under torture in al-Houthi prison in in Sana'a

A local source confirmed the death of one of the abductees who was affected by the torture he was subjected to in the al-Houthi prison in Sanaa.

The source told Almasdar online "that the kidnapped " Yusuf Abdullah Musaad al-maqbli  "One of the sons of the al-Radhmah district in the eastern province of Ibb died in the military prison which under the Houthi militia control in Sana'a.

Al-Maqbli was abducted at the Beit al-Yazidi checkpoint in early July and transferred to one of the militia prisons in the city of Damt and then transferred to Sanaa's capital and died as a result of the torture he suffered in the Houthi prisons.

The al-Houthi group refuses to hand over the body or allow the family of the deceased to see it or to allow the two cousins of the deceased abducted who are still in prison to visit.

Dozens of civilian activists have been tortured in prisons belonging to the al-Houthi group since they took control of the capital, Sanaa, and overturned power nearly four years ago.

The latest report of the Human Rights Council's Committee of Experts completely ignored the issue of torture to death, which claimed the lives of more than 130 detainees in al-Houthi prisons after they had been abducted by the group from homes, roads, and places of business.
