Houthi leader, two security personnel killed by government forces shelling eastern Taiz –source

A military source said that the offensive operations officer of the Houthis and pro-Saleh militants east of Taiz city, southwestern Yemen, was killed along with two of his security personnel by government forces artillery shelling.

 

According to a source in the command of the Taiz military region, the Houthi prominent leader Adnan Karaba, in charge of managing the offensive operations in the eastern front in Taiz, was killed along with two security personnel, according to Saba news agency.

 

Karaba and his security personnel were killed by an artillery shell fired by the government forces on their vehicle at al Salal hill east of the city. Added the source.

 

The government forces also foiled attempts by Houthis-Saleh militants to attack and infiltrate to al Memtar mount and Hathran area, and inflicted heavy losses on the militants.”
