Aden authorities release 11 detainees from Bir Ahmed Prison after lifting the strike

Security authorities in Aden province, southern Yemen, on Tuesday released 11 detainees, who were ordered to be released by judicial authorities.

A source for "Al Masdar online " said that the superintendent of Prisons and Ali Jamil, the officer of the files and cases of detainees, visited Bir Ahmed prison, and promised to complete the procedures for the release of those who have been reunited, and to complete the investigation with the rest within the next two days.

The source explained that 11 detainees, who had been included in the pre-release decision, were released.

According to the source, the prison inmates, who have been arrested, have lifted the strike for a week, pending the fulfillment of promises made by officials.
