Vice President discusses final arrangements with head of government delegation in Geneva negotiations

The planned negotiations between the parties to the conflict in Yemen, sponsored by the UN, will take place next Thursday in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Vice-President General, Ali Mohsen Saleh, met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, head of the government delegation in consultations, Geneva, Khalid al-Yamani, to discuss arrangements for the peace consultations.

According to the official government agency, Mohsen said the legitimacy enter this round for the fourth time and with sincere intentions, which primarily places the interests of the Yemeni people and the highest interests of the country on all considerations.

"The government's position is well known toward a lasting peace based on the three terms of reference leading to an end to the coup d'état, the restoration of the state, and the constant keenness of legitimacy to end the suffering of Yemenis caused by the coup d'état of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia," he said.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs referred to the preparations of the government delegation participating in the consultations and the great responsibility it bears in this round, through which all hope to contribute to the reduction of the humanitarian situation.
